On 17 December the project Fair Sex 2013 held a concluding seminar. During 2013 the work with Fair Sex-workshops has continued and the workshops have been directed towards students in their second year of upper secondary school including the training programme for young people with mental disabilities. The workshop leaders have also met youth that are not attending school within the programme Katapult.
To ensure a long-term approach to violence prevention and to the promotion of gender equality, also teachers and school managements need to be involved in the work. During 2013 the equality groups at Ålands lyceum, Ålands yrkesgymnasium and Åland Islands folk high-school have been offered supervision in writing equality plans that are adhering to the Ålandic and Finnish laws.
