Focus was on the rights of minorities and indigenous peoples. Almost 4000 people attended the forum that mainly took place in the \u201cHouse of Culture\u201d in a beautiful snowy Lule\u00e5 in the North of Sweden. The Peace Institute was represented with three people. Director Sia Spiliopoulou \u00c5kermark was a speaker in several seminars, such as \u201cMinority Representation in the Majority Society\u201d, \u201cRoleplay about the Duty and the Possibilities of the Authorities to Consult\u201d and \u201cGlobal Impact of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples\u201d. Guest researcher Rhodri Williams held a lecture on how the Guiding Principles for protection of internally displaced people can be used with regards to the exceptional vulnerability of indigenous people and minorities.
