{"id":17525,"date":"2009-08-26T13:57:47","date_gmt":"2009-08-26T13:57:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peace.ax\/2009\/08\/and-autonomy-en\/"},"modified":"2009-08-26T13:57:47","modified_gmt":"2009-08-26T13:57:47","slug":"and-autonomy-en","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peace.ax\/en\/and-autonomy-en\/","title":{"rendered":"Legislative division"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Autonomy Act\u00a0 the Aland Parliament is competent to pass a law in following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> <span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">education and culture<span style=\"font-family: \" New=\"New\" Roman\";=\"Roman\";\" font-style:=\"font-style:\" normal;=\"normal;\" font-variant:=\"font-variant:\" normal;=\"normal;\" font-weight:=\"font-weight:\" normal;=\"normal;\" font-size:=\"font-size:\" 7pt;=\"7pt;\" line-height:=\"line-height:\" normal;=\"normal;\" font-size-adjust:=\"font-size-adjust:\" none;=\"none;\" font-stretch:=\"font-stretch:\" normal\"=\"normal\"\"> <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">the police service<\/span> <\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">municipal administration and taxation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">health and medical services<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">social legislation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">postal service<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">promotion of industry<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">internal communications<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">tenancy and rent regulation<\/span><\/li>\n<li>radio and television.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In these fields the compence of Aland is exclusive.<\/p>\n<p>Finnish state law applies on Aland with regard to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">constitutional law and amendments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">customs and the issuance of money<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">courts of justice and criminal law<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">most aspects of civil law<\/span> <\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">banking and corporate legislation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">land law<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">labour law<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">foreign relations and the border guard service<\/span> <\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial\">state taxation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Legal acts of special importance to \u00c5land enacted by the State Parliament, including international treaties, shall be consented by the \u00c5land Parliament to be binding for the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Autonomy Act\u00a0 the Aland Parliament is competent to pass a law in following areas: education and culture the police service municipal administration and taxation health and medical services social legislation postal service promotion of industry internal communications tenancy and rent regulation radio and television.
