On June 21, the exhibition \u201dThe Aland Islands Solution – a precedent for successful international dispute settlement\u201d opened in the League of Nations Museum, Palais de Nations, Geneva. The temporary exhibition is in place until December 31, 2011. The exhibition commemorates the 90th anniversary of the the League of Nations\u2019 resolution in the \u00c5land Islands dispute between Finland and Sweden. The exhibition, which contains material about the demilitarization, neutralization and autonomy of \u00c5land, shows the developments that led to a solution in the \u00c5land dispute, and draws attention to the \u00c5land example as a way of solving international conflicts. The exhibition is made possible through a cooperation between the United Nations Office in Geneva, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the National Archives of Finland and the \u00c5land Government.
