At the meeting, \u00c5IPI research on and practical experiences from using the \u00c5land Example as a source of inspiration in international quests for peaceful developments were discussed. The Ambassador showed great interest and thourough knowledge on related topics, and discussions were rich and enlightning. The \u00c5IPI Director Sia Spiliopoulou \u00c5kermark concluded by saying that the \u00c5land Example can be viewed as an example of hope and commitment, something that is indeed much needed also with regard to the situation in Israel &amp; Palestine.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00c5land Peace Institute wants to share its research results, expertise and experiences from practical peace work in order to increased the knowledge about \u00c5land and the \u00c5land example and to promote better opportunities for peaceful conflict resolution. In the ublication from 2011; &#8220;The \u00c5land Example and its components &#8211; Relevance for International Conflict Resolution&#8221;, a chapter treated the issue of Palestine-Israel ( &#8220;Autonomy on the pendulum between a one-state and a two-state solution for the Palestine-Israel conflict).
