Sia Spilipoulou &Aring;kermark is the Head of Research for the project <a href=\"https:\/\/peace.ax\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/PM_research_project_demilitarisation_2016_updated2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&ldquo;Demilitarisation in an increasingly militarised world&rdquo;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the past few weeks the demilitarisation of the &Aring;land Island has been discussed in Finnish media.
