The Kastelholm talks began with a panel discussion in Kastelholm Castle, where the patron of the talks <b>President Tarja Halone<\/b>n discussed with a panel consisting of <b>Merete Mazzarella<\/b>, writer, essayist, journalist and professor of literary studies; <b>Olof Ehrenkrona<\/b>, Ambassador and Consul General of Sweden in the \u00c5land Islands; <b>Anders Mellbourn<\/b>, Political Scientist, Journalist, former Editor-in-Chief of newspaper Dagens Nyheter, previous Director of The Swedish Institute of International Affairs and University Professor, and <b>Britt Lundberg<\/b>, \u00c5landic politician, President of the Nordic Council in 2017, former Speaker of the \u00c5land Parliament, former minister and Deputy Head of the \u00c5land government. The conversation was moderated by Professor <b>Kjell-\u00c5ke Nordquist<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Kastelholms talks were filmed:<\/b> The conversation was livestreamed in collaboration with Nip\u00e5 and can be watched (in Swedish) <a href=\"http:\/\/nipalive.ax\/video\/kastelholmssamtal-om-fred-2018-video\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After a coffee break, the discussion continued with a round-table discussion at the nearby restaurant Smakbyn. The discussion was launched by three new speakers, <b>Martha Hannus<\/b>, Chairperson of Association Regnb\u00e5gsfyren and Sustainability Officer at Emmaus \u00c5land; <b>Barbro Sundback<\/b>, former Speaker of the Parliament of \u00c5land and former Chairperson of the Board of the Peace Institute, now Honorary Chairperson, and <b>Janne Wass<\/b>, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Ny Tid. The Director of the Peace Institute, Associate Professor <b>Sia Spiliopoulou \u00c5kermark<\/b> moderated the discussion.
