The symposium \u2018Collective Security, a Rules-Based International Order and the \u00c5land Islands\u2019 will be held in Mariehamn on 4 and 5 October. Discussions will concern collective security and a contractual world order in relation to \u00c5land’s demilitarisation and neutralisation. The symposium is based on research results from a three-year research project on demilitarisation and neutralisation<\/a>, (2015-2017). The results of the project have been collected in the book \u2018Demilitarisation and International Law in Context: The \u00c5land Islands\u2019<\/a>. The symposium will be held in English for invited researchers and practitioners. After the symposium, a summary of selected highlights and reflections will be presented in Swedish for everyone interested.
