Internationally, \u00c5land\u00b4s right of domicile is a unique legal institution. Surprisingly little has been written and documented about the establishment, application and development of the right of domicile on \u00c5land. A research seminar on \u00c5land\u00b4s right of domicile was held in connection with the \u00c5land Days in Helsinki in June 2007. The seminar was arranged by the \u00c5land parliament in collaboration with th \u00c5land Islands Peace Institute and the Centre for Nordic Studies at the Renvall Institute in Helsinki.
