On June 5th, 2010 thousands of people across the world will take part in coordinated local events to mark Nuclear Abolition Day. The message is simple: it’s time for governments to begin negotiating a Nuclear Weapons Convention to ban all nuclear weapons.
Because of this, and also as June 5th is the World Environment Day, a picnic will be arranged in Mariehamn in the park behind Emmaus, which one can enter from Nygatan (Tusenskönan parken). DJ Guano Brothers will perform among others, and others are welcome to make performances too. So bring some food and drinks and participate in the first peace event of this summer!
