Heidi Öst synthesizes and develops in this report the most important research results from the scientific publication "”The Åland Example and Its Components – Relevance for International Conflict Resolution” (Ålands fredsinstitut, 2011). The purpose is to make the results easily available to a wider Swedish-speaking audience, but also to promote some concrete practical conclusions of Åland interest.
