Project researcher Dr Pirjo Kleemola-Juntunen was invited as a speaker at the conference “Inter mundus – From Cold Ice to Hot Sands”, 4th Conference on Operational Maritime Law, which took place in Turku on 3-6 October 2016. The Conference was organised by the Nato Centre of Excellence for Operations in Confined and Shallow Waters (COE CSW) in cooperation with the Finnish Navy. Dr Kleemola-Juntunen gave a presentation concerning the legal regime of the Åland Islands, one of the many cases and concrete issues discussed during the conference.
