On the 15th of March 2012 the ÅIPI and the Center for International Mobility, CIMO, in Finland invites Ålandic organisations interested in becoming accredited to sending and hosting volunteers, to an information event about the European Voluntary Service, EVS. The ÅIPI is both a hosting and a sending organisation and currently the only organisation on Åland that regularly works with EVS-volunteering.
The Peace Institute wishes to deepen the already existing contacts with the neighbouring countries, in particular the Baltic countries, the Kaliningrad region (Russia) and the Caucasus region, and partner organisations working with themes such as peace, empowerment work and gender. This is why we strive to concentrate our EVS-activities to those themes, regions and partners. At the same time we want to broaden cooperation on Åland, where more actors could be active in sending and hosting volunteers in order to ensure that this possibility is provided to youth on Åland.
