– We are delighted that Susanne Eriksson has agreed to join our network of senior advisors. She has unique knowledge and experience of self-government and its development from the inside, and such knowledge is important for the Peace Institute both in research and in our meetings with international visitors who want to know more about self-government as an institution and possible conflict resolution tool. Having the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience really strengthens our work, says Susann Simolin, Director of the Peace Institute.
Susann Eriksson has worked as Director of the Åland Parliament for 16 years until she retired this spring.
– The Peace Institute has an important mission and in my job I experienced that Åland’s status is seen as unique in the world. Therefore, I feel very honored to become a senior advisor and look forward to future assignments, says Susanne Eriksson.
