Sia Spiliopoulou Åkermark wrote two articles about demilitarisation and neutralisation in a wider context, departing from the UN Charter and collective security. The articles were published in Hufvudstadsbladet (in Swedish) and Helsingin Sanomat (in Finnish). Sia Spilipoulou Åkermark is the Head of Research for the project “Demilitarisation in an increasingly militarised world”.
During the past few weeks the demilitarisation of the Åland Island has been discussed in Finnish media. Sia Spiliopoulou Åkermark was interviewed by YLE for the Finnish discussion programme A-studio: Talk, which was broadcasted on 20th October.
