ÅIPI director interviewed in Basque press

siaspanskaOn the 8th to 9th of March 2012 the director of ÅIPI, Dr Sia Spiliopoulou Åkermark participated in an international workshop arranged by researcher network  “Civic Constellation I: History and Politics of Citizenship” led by the University of Malaga and professor José Maria  Rosales.

Spiliopoulou Åkermark held an  inaugural lecture under the title “Silent seduction – How the Theory of  the responsibility to protect reshapes our thinking about democratic citizenship and international law”. This lecture was held in co-operation with the Globernance institute in the House of Peace and Human Rights in San Sebastián-Donostia.

Spiliopoulou Åkermark was interviewed in Basque press, about interests shared by Åland and the Basque – i.e self-government and protection onf lanugae and culture and about Responsibility to protect. Read here.
