Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ report on the status of Åland welcomed

A legal study on Åland’s demilitarization will be completed in August and is something that the Åland Islands Peace Institute asked for already last spring in connection with the discussion of a NATO membership.

“A good and updated legal investigation on Åland’s position can be useful today, as we see that there are many misconceptions and we notice a lack of knowledge about Åland in society.” says Sia Spiliopoulou Åkermark, Director of the Åland Islands Peace Institute, in an interview with Åland Radio and Television.

The interview can be listened to here on the Åland Radio and TV website.
