“The right of domicile is one of the cornerstones for the creation of a system of self-government in Åland. Internationally, Åland’s right of domicile is a unique legal institution. Surprisingly little has been written and documented about the establishment, application and development of the right of domicile on Åland. A research seminar on Åland’s right of domicile was held in connection with the Åland Days in Helsinki in June 2007. The seminar was arranged by the Åland parliament in collaboration with the Åland Islands Peace Institute and the Centre for Nordic Studies at the Renvall Institute in Helsinki. The seminar resulted in this report.”

Report from the seminar Homeland Law, Business Law, Civil Law – Cornerstones of the Åland Autonomy in Helsinki on 14 June 2007.

There are currently 126 copies avaliable of the English version of the publication.
